Located in the heart of the San Francisco Financial District, the A/V rated immigration Law Offices of James A. Mr. Bach has been preparing H-1B and labor certification applications since 1980, and has been granted the highest A/V rating by Martindale-Hubbell.*  This rating “identifies a lawyer with very high to preeminent legal ability” reflecting “expertise, experience, integrity and overall professional excellence” and “the highest professional and ethical standards.”  Mr. Bach is also included in the 2009 Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.  While we appreciate this recognition, we also see it as a benchmark to live up to on a daily basis and in every single case. 

Mr. Bach is certified as a Legal Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, and was one of the first certified specialists when the certification program was started in the late 1980's.  Currently there are 161,000 active members of the State Bar, and only 147 are Certified Specialists in Immigration and Nationality Law.  Mr. Bach serves on the California State Bar Immigration and Nationality Advisory Commission, and helps to write and grade the immigration specialty exam.
