On May 16, 2002, the State Department increased the fees for processing nonimmigrant and immigrant visas.  For nonimmigrant visas (such as B-1/B-2, H-1B, L-1 and F-1) the fee has increased from $45 to $65.  The immigrant visa (green card) processing fee has increased from $260 to $335.
